Three states in the south face a good chance of severe weather that can make a lot of tornadoes. A day after the storms and tornadoes, 2 people were killed and at least 12 people were injured. Tornadoes have already been reported in the area on Wednesday. In Louisiana, a tornado on Wednesday morning damaged homes in the city of New Iberia, and rescue efforts were happening to free people trapped

A “Dangerous Tornado Watch ” is only issued when the most significant threats are expected and was issued on Wednesday for parts of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Destructive storms were already starting early Wednesday afternoon with at least one suspected tornado damaging homes and leaving people trapped.

The southern storms are part of a massive system that also has been delivering heavy snow in some places, blizzard conditions in northern parts of the central U.S. Severe weather is also possible. About 14 million people from Louisiana to parts of Georgia face some level of risk of severe weather on Wednesday.
